Miss Intercontinental 2010

Maydelise was crowned at a glittering two-hour pageant in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic defeating 56 contestants from across the world on Saturday as a firework down onstage around her. She clapped her hands to her mouth when her name was announced. The 335.000 USD crown was given by las years winner Hannelly Quintero from Venezuela.

Maydelise said she "had no words" to describe how she felt about her win, but that she was "really, really happy." It was the second time in History of the Miss Intercontinental that the crown goes to Puerto Rico.

She was a crowd favorite. First runner-up was Miss Peru, Karen Schwarz Espinosa. Both have been invited to India in February. Maydelise won prizes worth over 50,000 USD.
