The 40th anniversary of the Miss Intercontinental pageant was successfully accomplished in Spain. A two week exciting tour through various cities within Spain and an overhelming welcome and hospitality of the spanish people made the pageant a huge success.

For the first time and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Miss Intercontinental, the WBO decided to honour the Beauty of all continents and so the judges had the choice to selected the Top 3 of Europe, Africa, Americas, the Caribbean and Asia and Pacific.

Out of the best 3 of each continent just the Best contestant was selected to be in the Top 5 so that in the final picture on stage, all continents were represented. From now on, it will be a new structure of the title MISS INTERCONTINENTAL. "It will make the big difference from other beauty pageants and will make the Miss Intercontinental unique" says Luis Pitti Sagrera, President of the WBO.

In 2012 we will try to invite an equal number of the continents so that from each continent the best 3 will be chosen to be in the Top 15, namely

Europe - Africa - Southamerica - Northamerica - Asia & Oceania

Out of the Top 15 only the Best of each continent will enter the Top 5. It will give us a great opportunity to work with the continent winners as well.

For the 41st anniversary in 2012 we are working on it already and hopefully beeing able to announce soon the venue and the city where we will produce our final. All we can say is that we are thrilled and exiting to spread the news soon.
