Adiòs and Gracias a España - the 40th anniversary took place in Spain and stunning winner is Jessica Hartman from USA

Millions of people have been the audience of the 40th anniversary of the 2011 MISS INTERCONTINENTAL Pageant. The show was live telecast from Orihuela (Alicante), Spain on October 7th, 2011. <br/> <br/> Orihuela, the capital of the region of the "Vega Baja del Segura" has also been a former kingdom. The city was named the first city of the province of Alicante and is the Birth Place of the spanish well recognized poet Miguel Hernández. All 61 delegates arrived in Alicante on September 22 and enjoyed the wonderful clima in October, the great hospitality and the magic of an old but modern city with numerous munumental buildings. The historical Teatro Circo, which was buildt on May 22, 1892 was the right frame to stage the round anniversary. Hard to believe that it was in 1907 dismantled and transferred from Alicante to Orihuela. It still shows an area of ​​French origin, now almost disappeared in Europe. <br/> <br/> The Meliá Palacio de Tudemir Hotel has been the official Host Hotel for all the delegates and the WBO Staff. They really made us feel like home. Additional trips to some marvellous places for example Terra Mitica, a theme park located in Benidorm with attractions in 5 themed zones or a Trip to Valencia just to name a few. <br/> <br/> <br/> Numerous journalists have visited Spain and reported about the 40th anniversary. The WBO is already in negotiations for the 2012 Miss Intercontinental pageant and Mr Luis Pitti Sagrera announced recently that the decision will be made before December 2012 in which city the Miss Intercontinental 2012 will be staged.
